Right fielder Jonny Gomes jacked one out of the ballyard and had 4 RBI as the
Jefferson Park Penguins defeated the Chainsaw Proctologists by the score of
16 to 9 at the ballpark.
Gomes enjoyed a big day at the plate. He rifled a three-run blast (his 4th of
the season) in the 3rd inning and doubled bringing in a run in the 9th
inning. Jefferson Park provided plenty of action in the 3rd inning which saw
them plate 9 runs on 8 hits. Jefferson Park had many opportunities
throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.
Bronson Arroyo(8-1) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Mark
Hendrickson(4-5) was charged with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 7 hits
and 4 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
